C&C PLAYLISTS #1 – How we cook

Because besides cooking also music plays a huge role in our lives,  we want to provide you from now on with playlists in our new spotify account (C&CC) at irregular intervals. Feel free to follow us there so you don’t miss a playlist. With good music cooking is even more fun after all.

C&C PLAYLISTS #1 – How we cook

We start our new series with the playlist “How we cook”, in which you will get to know us a little bit more with the help of 15 random facts and the associated music. Where does the name of the blog come from? How was our childhood and what touches us besides cooking and music? Here you will get to know:

1 THE KILLS – CHEAP AND CHEERFUL
The name of the blog comes from a song by The Kills. Cheap means that cooking at home (even using good ingredients) will always be your cheapest option. Cheerful because that’s how your food tastes when you try out our recipes! 😉

2 BABYSHAMBLES – FUCK FOREVER
Andi has an Indie event called Fckfrvr. It’s name comes from a song which suits a lot to the genres he plays there.

3 THE TING TINGS – GREAT DJ
He taught himself DJing when he was 14 and started playing in bars only one year later.

4 METHYL ETHEL – ARCHITECTURE LECTURE
Lisa has studied architecture and is now working in a architectural studio in Berlin.

5 LADYHAWKE – MAGIC
We are a couple since 2009 have been a couple from 2009 til 2019. The singer Ladyhawke played a big role when we met for the first time.

6 RY X – BERLIN
In 2017 we both moved to Berlin and found a new home with a small balcony in the multicultural district called Neukölln.

7 NICK & JUNE – HOME IS WHERE THE HEART HURTS
Originally we’re from Nuremberg, where we spent all of our time at school. Andi used to study here as well.

8 ARCADE FIRE – THE SUBURBS
We’re actually not directly from Nuremburg but from two different suburbs.

9 ANGUS & JULIA STONE – BIG JET PLANE
Besides cooking and music we also share the passion for travelling. We love travelling with our backpacks and getting to know different cultures.

10 SATELLITE STORIES – AUSTRALIA
We have not yet been to Southern America or Australia. Both are very high listed on our bucket list.

11 HUNDREDS – SONG FOR A SAILOR
Lisa used to spend a lot of her holidays on the sea sailing with family and friends.

12 GEORGE EZRA – BUDAPEST
Andi spend a lot of his holidays as a kid in Hungary. That’s probably why he loves langos so much.

13 ART BRUT – EMILY KANE
Lisa’s instagram name was Emily Kane. The name comes from this song by Art Brut.

14 MGMT – KIDS
Sustainability (minimalism, zero waste, …) is a big thing for us. We should all stop taking more from mother earth than it can ever give us.

15 THE SMITHS – MEAT IS MURDER
It’s one of the reasons why we’re vegan since 2016.
