Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat. Grease a round springform tin (we use one with a diameter of 26 cm) with a little oil.
First mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar and spices) in a bowl with a whisk. Then add the water, oil and vinegar and whisk everything into a smooth cake batter. Pour the batter into the springform tin.
Cut the fruit to size and spread over the batter. In the example photos, for example, 4 apples have been cut into quarters, with the skin and skin removed, and lightly cut with a fruit knife at intervals of 2-3 mm without the apple pieces falling apart.
Bake the cake in a preheated oven for 50 - 60 minutes.
